What it is used for

Description
Diclofenac sodium delayed-release tablets, USP is a benzene-acetic acid derivative. Diclofenac sodium is a white to off-white, hygroscopic, crystalline powder, melts at about 284°C and freely soluble in. methanol; soluble in ethanol; sparingly soluble in water; practically insoluble in chloroform and in ether. The chemical name is Benzeneacetic acid, 2-[(2,6-dichlorophenyl)amino]-, monosodium salt. The molecular weight is 318.13 g/mol. Its molecular formula is C 14 H 10 Cl 2 NNaO 2, and it has the following structural formula Each enteric-coated tablet for oral administration contains 25 mg, 50 mg, or 75 mg of diclofenac. The inactive ingredients in diclofenac sodium delayed-release tablets, USP include: croscarmellose sodium, hypromellose, lactose (monohydrate), magnesium stearate, microcrystalline cellulose, methacrylic acid copolymer, polyethylene glycol, povidone, talc, triethyl citrate, Titanium dioxide, iron oxide red, iron oxide yellow (50 mg and 75 mg tablets) or D&C Yellow No. 10 Al.
